Karla served as project manager and lead landscape architect for the Grandview Heights community pool, a two-pool complex designed to serve both family recreation and competitive sport. The recreation pool features zero-entry, ADA-compliant access, tower slides, and a secured tot area for families, while the competition pool includes a dedicated diving well for organized sport and training. The design also includes a large pergola over the main swim deck, a half basketball court, and generous lawn space for gathering—creating a facility that serves both structured recreation and everyday community use. A large-scale public engagement campaign ran throughout the project, and resident input was a major factor in shaping the final design.
